Introducing Suggested Members on Kadoga

Kadoga has been growing step by step here in Munich. Over the past few months, more pet owners have joined the community, created profiles, and started exploring a different way to find care for their pets. We’ve also had more pet-sitting requests come in.

This growth is incredibly exciting, but I want to be transparent: we are still working toward our first completed pet sit from start to finish. As our community scales, we have treated every single request as a vital feedback loop to ensure the platform is reliable. Every 'near-match' has helped us refine our matching system to better serve the next member who needs care.

Early on, one thing became very clear: Pet care works best when trust starts early.

Why trust needs to start before you need care

The best time to find pet care is before you actually need it. When a short-notice trip pops up, you shouldn’t have to scramble to find someone to care for your pet. By identifying a small group of compatible members now, you’ll build your Trusted Network, and then when you need help they’ll already be there to step in.

Over time, your Trusted Network will make Kadoga more personal, reliable, and much easier to use.

Introducing “Suggested for You”

To help with this, Kadoga now shows members a new section called Suggested for You.

These suggestions are designed to help you discover other members who may be a good fit for you and your pet.

You’ll see suggested members on the Member Area homepage. Each suggestion gives you a quick summary of why that person may be a good match, such as whether they live nearby, can host at their home or can travel to yours, and if they are comfortable with specific pet needs.

From there, you can choose what to do next:

  • View their profile

  • Request an introduction

  • Mark that you’re not interested

The goal of this is to help you find promising connections before you need pet care.

How Kadoga chooses suggested members

Suggested members are based on a holistic look at your household by matching your care preferences and pet’s temperament against other members and their pets to find those who could align well with you.

To find realistic matches, Kadoga looks at:

  • Proximity: Location and travel distance to ensure care is convenient for both parties.

  • Care Capabilities: The specific types of pets each member is experienced with and able to care for.

  • Logistics: Whether members prefer to host at their home, travel to yours, or both.

  • Pet Compatibility: A deep dive into size, temperament, and how pets interact with other animals in the home.

  • Specialized Care: Specific requirements such as medication needs.

  • Environment: Household details that may affect the comfort, safety, or well-being of your pet.

Kadoga will surface members who may be a realistic fit for you, not just random people in the community.

Of course, these suggestions are only a starting point. The next step is to review the member’s profile to determine if they seem like someone you’d like to connect with. If you want to meet them, you can simply click “Request introduction.”

What happens when you request an introduction

If you request an introduction, Kadoga will help you get connected with the other member.

If both members are open to being introduced, we’ll send an introduction email so you can continue the conversation directly. From there, you can decide whether it makes sense to meet, introduce your pets, and include each other in your Trusted Networks. To help guide the process and make things easier, Kadoga will provide simple tips and a checklist.

Connecting with other members today might not solve an immediate pet care need, but it is the most effective way to establish your Trusted Network. By doing this now, Kadoga can reach out to people you already know and trust when you need care.

Why your profile and pet details matter

The more information you share, the better Kadoga can work for you . Member suggestions are most effective when profiles include the key details that help others understand who you are, the type of care you offer, and the unique personality of your pets .

If you’re already a Kadoga member, it’s especially helpful to add:

  • Your profile photo, short headline and bio

  • Your pet’s information, including temperament and care needs

  • Your hosting, travel, and care preferences

Your profile and care preferences don't just help our system, they help other members feel confident about connecting with you. After all, pet care is deeply personal, and it’s often the small details that make a big difference in building lasting trust.

Want to find suggested members?

If you’re not a Kadoga member yet, you can join today. Creating a profile and exploring suggested members is free. Over time, actions like requesting introductions or requesting pet sits will be part of a paid membership.

If you’re already a member but haven’t added your pet yet, now is a great time to do it. Once added, Kadoga can start suggesting members right away who may be a good fit.
