FAQs
What is Kadoga?
Kadoga is Munich’s first pet-sitting exchange community. Instead of paying up to €100 per night for sitters, members help each other with pet sits and visits using Kadoga Points (KP). It’s a new, local alternative to traditional pet-sitting platforms.
What are Kadoga Points (KP)?
Kadoga Points (KP) are our community currency for exchanging pet care. When you join, you receive a starter grant of KP so you can benefit right away. You earn more whenever you host or visit pets, and then spend them when you need care for your own.

Who will look after my pet — random people?
No — you’re always in control. When you make a request, Kadoga notifies matching members. You review who’s interested and choose the person who feels right for your pet. Over time, every sit builds your Trusted Network, so future requests connect first with people you already know and rely on.
How much does membership cost?
General membership is planned at €99/year (about the cost of just one to two nights with a professional sitter). Founding Members in Munich lock in €49/year for life.
Do I need special qualifications to join?
No professional qualifications are required. Kadoga is based on the simple idea of “pet owners helping pet owners.” To join, you just need to be at least 18, fit to care for animals, and free of any history of violence toward people or pets.
How does Kadoga compare to sites like Pawshake?
Kadoga isn’t a sitter marketplace like Pawshake, where you browse profiles and pay nightly fees. Instead, it’s a local community of pet owners who exchange care using Kadoga Points. Each completed sit builds your Trusted Network, so over time you connect first with people you already know and rely on. That means lower costs, less searching, and more peace of mind.
What services can I arrange?
Currently you can arrange:
Dog overnight stays (at the owner’s or sitter’s home)
Cat visits (short daily visits in the cat’s own home)
Future expansion may include shorter time blocks and additional pet types.
Can non-pet owners join?
Right now Kadoga is just for pet owners. In the future we may add an option for people without pets who want to volunteer to help.
Where does Kadoga operate now?
Kadoga is starting with a pilot in Munich, targeting 50 Founding Members. Once the community is established here, we plan to expand to other German cities.
